The ICM - Institut Chemnitzer Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e.V. is a high-performaning Saxon research institute that stands for innovations and system solutions in mechanical and plant engineering. Under the motto " THINKING AHEAD. DEVELOPING INNOVATIONS. TRANSFERING SUCCESS." the institute with its approx. 60 committed and creative employees faces up to application-oriented tasks.
The ICM Chemnitz forms networks from industry, research and politics, bundles their competences and strengthens the mechanical and plant engineering in Saxony and Germany. From ideas and solution approaches we develop future and market-oriented technologies and products within the framework of preliminary research to transfer the results into prototypes of products, services and processes. The targeted transfer of scientific work results to primarily SMEs ensures their sustainable economic utilization.
